| This site lies on a former US Air Force barracks area, a densely forested enclave in direct vicinity to the busiest German highway junction and Frankfurt airport. The program ranges from offices and logistic areas to exhibition halls and hotels. Our proposal consists of clusters of one to four buildings grouped around a collective court and parking garage. Various garden designs provide the deep plots with a recognizable identity and link them to the green park surrounding the clusters. In order to create a recognizable skyline, the buildings vary in height, but oscillate around a defined average building height. Furthermore a set of esthetical guideline has been developed to garuantee a varied but coherent architectural apperance. The result is a viable urban development scenario with a large variety of building typologies embedded in pleasant woodland. |
